Six elementary authors recognized by St. Louis Writers Guild

Six Rose Acres Elementary School students were chosen as finalists in the 2020 St. Louis Writers Guild Young Writers Contest. Fourth graders Aliyah Brown and Eva Pulley and fifth graders Devin Garner, Audrey Holdren, Hannah Hope and Harrison Vandernoot will have stories they wrote included in an anthology published by the Writers Guild.

The anthology will be published in December on Amazon, and each student will receive a free printed copy. The St. Louis Writers Guild hosted a virtual celebration honoring the award-winning young writers on Dec. 5.

Holdren’s fifth grade teacher is Nicole Youngquist, and the other students are taught by PEGS (Program for Exceptionally Gifted Students) teachers Robin Chang and Ms. Tracey Robinson.
