Three Pattonville residents were sworn into office to serve on the Pattonville Board of Education. Returning board members Dr. Brian Gray and Lisa Kickbusch and past board member Dr. Amanda Lienau were elected to the board during the April 4 election and will serve a three-year term. Last year, Kickbusch was appointed to the board to fill a one-year position after the resignation of board member Mindy Ridings. Lienau previously served a three-year term from 2018 to 2021. All three were sworn into office on April 11 by board vice president Mary Kay Campbell.
Pattonville High School college & career preparation coordinator/counselor Michelle Luraschi was named the 2023 Missouri Association for College Admission Counseling (MOACAC) Presidents’ Service Recognition Award recipient. The award was presented to her during the MOACAC annual conference.
After-school and evening activities in Pattonville are canceled tonight, March 31, due to expected inclement weather. After school care will remain open, but families are encouraged to pick up children as early as possible. At Pattonville High School, the 4:30 p.m. activity bus is canceled and all students should plan to leave campus at dismissal time.
Voters in the Pattonville School District on April 4 elected incumbents Dr. Brian Gray and Lisa Kickbusch and returning board member Amanda Lienau to three open seats on the Pattonville Board of Education. The newly elected members will be sworn into office during a meeting on April 11.
Seven Pattonville High School culinary arts students successfully completed the standards set forth for the ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification examination.
“The ServSafe Manager certificate verifies that a manager or person-in-charge has sufficient food safety knowledge to protect the public from food borne illness,” family and consumer sciences teacher Mary Favazza said. “The certification is accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) under the Conference for Food Protection Standards (CFP).
Those students are Brian Partee, Maliyah Harris, Guadalupe Lopez Chanocua, Madison Buchheit, Gabrielle Beckham, Sierra Schuster and Carly Caesar. Their certifications are valid until 2028.
