Board Actions
The Board of Education on April 10:
  • Reviewed an upcoming trip by the Pattonville High School DECA organization;
  • Approved paying $930,427.35 for regular bills;
  • Approved paying $187,501.01 for purchases made on Pattonville's purchasing cards, which earned the district a rebate of nearly 1 percent (or $1,725.01);
  • Lodged for action the adoption of Policy FEF (Construction Contracts Bidding and Awards); a vote is expected at the April 24 board meeting;
  • Lodged for action the review of policies IKF (Graduation Requirements) and INC (Speakers at District Events); revisions to policies IKFB (Graduation Exercises) and JGA (Corporal Punishment); and the rescission of policies EG (Office Hours for Schools) and JB (Equal Educational Opportunities); a vote is expected at the April 24 board meeting;
  • Approved the adoption of instructional materials for the kindergarten through 12th grade art curriculum for $98,568.25;
  • Approved the adoption of instructional materials for the middle and high school family and consumer science curriculum for $58,026;
  • Approved the curriculum course change recommendations for the 2018-2019 school year, which includes the addition of the following courses: 2D Design 7-8; 3D Design 7-8; Cybersecurity 1; Cybersecurity 2; Engineering Design and Development 1; and Engineering Design and Development 2;
  • Approved paying $4,311.23 to Tueth, Keeney, Cooper, Mohan and Jackstadt for legal services;
  • Awarded a bid for tree trimming and removal to Gateway Tree Care for $14,575;
  • Awarded a bid to replace flooring in the gymnasium and library at Drummond Elementary School to Richardet Flooring for $151,410;
  • Approved the purchase of Apple MacBook Pro Laptops from Apple Inc. Education for $10,090.00; and
  • Awarded a bid for managed print services to GFI Digital Inc. for $263,430.73.

  • Kristina Varner, custodian, maintenance, print shop and transportation

  • Marilyn Baker, clerical assistant at Willow Brook, effective at the end of the school year, after serving Pattonville for 26 years
  • Elaine Behrle, printing specialist, effective at the end of the school year, after serving Pattonville for 26 years
  • Penny Britton, parent educator, effective at the end of the school year, after serving Pattonville for 20 years
  • LaVon Whitman, courier, effective June 29, after serving Pattonville for 12 years
  • Harold Willmann, bus aide, effective at the end of the school year, after serving Pattonville for 13 years
