Hundreds of Pattonville Pirate fans celebrated Homecoming with two days of activities on Oct. 13 and 14. The weekend included a football game, K-8 fun run, parade, barbecue, alumni tours of the high school, Junior Pirate football matches and a student dance.

Winners in the annual float competition for the parade were as follows: Green and White Award (community float) - Dance Factory; Traveling Trophy (best elementary/middle school float) - Holman Middle School; Pete's Pick (outstanding high school club/organization/sport float) - Pattonville cheer; Outstanding Theme Award (best depiction of the theme) - Rose Acres Elementary School; and Outstanding Class Float - tie between the freshmen and sophomores.

Senior Nadia Maddex was crowned Homecoming queen. Other members of the Homecoming court were: seniors Katie Basta, Kori Gibbons, Madelyn Hubbs, Bianca Lee and Chrystian Vaughn-Taylor; juniors Alonna Gibson and Sarah Johnson; sophomores Aisha Alvi and Elise Thompkins; and freshmen Caitlin Coddington and Skylar Monnig.

The Pattonville Pirate football team defeated Parkway North 42 to 28 during the Homecoming game, earning the team its first conference championship since 1999.

Homecoming also featured a special guest at the football game: Ryleigh, a 5-year-old ambassador for Make A Wish. Ryleigh helped crown the Homecoming queen and also served as parade marshal during the parade.
